In the summer of 2018 I bought a new guitar, a Squire Jazz Master. To go with it and I suppose to treat myself I bought a nice quality Fender cable, one with good insulation, braided shielding and a right angle jack to help relive the stress of gravity on the cable. The cable was well used, resulting in its demise. The connection had become loose to one of the jacks so I pulled back the seal that holds the wire and jack together to see what had happened. In doing this I snapped the jack off.

I have kept the jack in a tray on top of my amp for months now thinking one day that I might soldier it back onto its cable. This hasn’t happened. I bought a new cable months ago.

About this project.
